Design production for Strava’s 2020 subscription paywall campaign

Strava’s Local Legends Production

The Local Legends feature is a new way to compete on Segments locally. Rack up the most efforts on a given segment over 90 days, and an athlete is awarded the laurel crown. The Local Legend feature is available for paying subscribers.

Homepage Production

I collaborated closely with the lead Brand Designer and lead engineer to utilize Contentful in constructing the Local Legends homepage site, mirroring the approach taken in the Strava Paywall project. We employed personalized code and components to actualize the Design team's vision and promote the new competitive feature.

Utilized documented hub designs as a reference point to facilitate production. Integrated finalized translations into corresponding components per page for seamless implementation.

 

In-App Promo Localization and Production

"Dorados" represent in-app promotional advertisements as full-screen overlays or modules within a user's feed. Local Legend dorados were released periodically in batches, guiding competitive users to the Local Legend website. Each Dorado featured localized copy and designs tailored to its audience.

Instagram Stories: Athlete Highlights

Produced a sequence of Instagram Stories featuring pre-selected athletes, highlighting their accomplishments in attaining the status of Local Legend.
